The Sidewall Conveyor Belt, also known as a Corrugated Sidewall Conveyor Belt or High Inclination Conveyor Belt, is an ideal solution for applications where space is limited or where conventional flat belts cannot meet lifting requirements.
This conveyor belt consists of three main components: a high-strength base belt, flexible corrugated sidewalls, and integrally bonded cleats (cross ribs). The base belt provides excellent tensile strength and stable operation, while the corrugated sidewalls effectively prevent material spillage. The cleats form enclosed pockets that hold materials securely, allowing smooth and continuous conveying even at angles up to 90 degrees.
Sidewall conveyor belts are suitable for handling a wide range of materials, including powders, granules, and lump materials, such as coal, cement, limestone, ore, grain, fertilizer, and chemical products. Compared with traditional conveying systems, this belt offers higher conveying capacity, compact structure, and reduced equipment and installation costs.
Depending on operating conditions, the belt can be manufactured with EP fabric or steel cord reinforcement, and customized with properties such as wear resistance, heat resistance, oil resistance, flame retardancy, and chemical resistance. Sidewall height, cleat type, and belt width can all be tailored to specific conveying requirements.

Core Layer Lamination
Raw Material & Rubber Mixing: Low-shrinkage polyester filaments are impregnated with EPDM latex to enhance bonding. Raw rubber compounds (NR/EPDM) are processed via internal and open mixers, with carbon black, anti-aging agents, and vulcanizers added under strict temperature control to ensure uniformity before calendering into precise sheets.
Core Layer Lamination: EP canvas core layers are hot-press laminated with buffer rubber sheets. This step reduces stress concentration interfaces and increases flexibility under cyclic loading.

Sidewall & Cleat Molding
Hot Vulcanization Assembly
Forming & Molding: Laminated blanks are trimmed to target widths. In parallel, corrugated sidewalls and cleats are compression molded using high-elasticity, tear-resistant compounds.
Hot Vulcanization: Base belts, cleats, and sidewalls are assembled and subjected to controlled heat and pressure inside a vulcanizing press. The rubber undergoes cross-linking to form a single molecular body, ensuring the sidewalls and cleats never delaminate.
